I didn't arrive at this work through a textbook. I started as a Behavioural Therapist, working directly alongside BCBA-certified analysts with children on the Autism Spectrum — hands on, in the room, watching how these children moved through the world. That foundation never left me.
Over more than 20 years across British Columbia and Alberta — in schools, in children's mental health clinics with Alberta Health Services, and in private practice — I keep returning to the same families: children, teens, and adults whose profiles are complex, whose needs don't fit neatly into a single diagnosis, and who have often spent years looking for someone who sees the whole picture.
My work has two halves that strengthen each other. As an assessor, I look beyond test scores to understand the whole child/adult — how they learn, regulate emotions, connect with others, and experience the world — with particular depth in ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, giftedness, and twice-exceptional profiles. As a therapist, I offer evidence-based, trauma-informed care, trained in CBT, DBT, EMDR, and play therapy, working with children, teens, and adults.
