Insurance Information & Fees
Insurance Coverage
Psychological, Social Work, and Registered Clinical Counsellor services may be covered by a variety of benefit plans and may offer direct billing options (ONLY IN ALBERTA). Coverage may be available through:
Employee Extended Benefits Plans
Private insurance plans
Employee Assistance Programs (EAP)
Common insurance providers that allow direct billing include:
Green Shield, Blue Cross, Manulife, and Equitable Life.
It is the responsibility of each client to confirm coverage with their insurance provider. Any unreimbursed medical expenses may be used for tax deductions, typically requiring the total to exceed 3% of your income.
Fees
Effective January 1, 2025
Counselling:
Psychologist: $235/hr
Social Worker/Registered Clinical Counsellor: Individual $180/hr Family $200/hr; Group $60/session
Psychological Assessments: Charged at a flat fee, including intake, testing, report with recommendations, and debrief session.

Payment Structure: Typically paid in three instalments.
Report Release: All fees must be paid before the report is released.
Funding Options
Alberta – FSCD & Other Agencies
Creative Minds Consulting Inc. is a vendor for Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD).
FSCD may cover part of the psychological fee. Any remaining balance can be paid privately or covered by most insurance plans.
We are also contracted by Child and Family Services (CFS) for families requiring supports through Family Enhancement programs. Contact your caseworker for eligibility.
British Columbia – Autism Services
Psychologists do not need to be on the RASP list to provide services.
Counselling and therapy services may be eligible through the Autism Funding Unit. Parents must submit a Request to Pay Service Providers to access funding. Contact your caseworker for details.
Payment Methods & Policy
Accepted methods: Email money transfer, Credit Card, or Cash.
Payment is due immediately after each session or as contracted.
Missed appointments or cancellations without 24 hours’ notice will be billed in full.
We will make every effort to reschedule missed sessions at the next available time.
